Vincent Spira

Born in 1959, Vincent Spira studied law at the University of Geneva. Having qualified, he was admitted to the Geneva Bar in 1983. He went on to become an associate within Brunschwig, Biaggi, Lévy and then open his own firm in partnership with Jean-Charles Sommer and Christian Marti.

In 1994, he set up a new office with Christian Lüscher and Sharam Dini.

In 2008, he joined the firm of Laurence Bory, Emmanuel Ducrest, Jacques Berta and Corinne Nerfin as a partner, which become Bory & Associés in 2016.

On the 8th of October 2018, he launched Spira + Associées as a founding partner.

Main practice areas

His practice is mainly judicial in the fields of criminal law, white-collar crime, medical and employment law.

He represents clients before the courts of Geneva, in other French-speaking cantons and countries, as well as before Federal jurisdictions.

Affiliations

A member of the Ordre des avocats de Genève (ODA), he sat for the Conseil de l’Ordre des avocats as from 2006 until 2016, and was its President (Bâtonnier) from 2010 to 2012.

He presided the ODA’s Criminal law commission from 2004 to 2010.

He is also a member of the Swiss Federation of Lawyers (FSA), of the Swiss Criminal law association and of the Geneva association for business law.

Since 2014, he has been on the Geneva Bar commission (lawyers’ disciplinary body), of which he became the Vice-president in November 2018.

At the end of 2013, he joined the Board of directors of the Conférence internationale des barreaux (CIB).

In parallel to his practice as a lawyer, he has been active since 1995 within the Geneva-based association Carrefour prison, under its new name Fondation REPR (providing support to children visiting a parent who is incarcerated in one of Switzerland’s French-speaking cantons).

Isabelle Bühler Galladé

Born in 1972, Isabelle Bühler Galladé studied law at the University of Geneva. Having qualified in 1999, she became an associate within de Pfyffer law firm where she worked until 2006. She went on to become a founding partner in de Preux + associés. In 2012, she joined Canonica Valticos de Preux + associés as a partner.

On the 8th of October 2018, she launched Spira + Associées as a founding partner.

Main practice areas

Her practice is mainly judicial in the fields of criminal law, white-collar crime and international mutual legal assistance, in civil and commercial matters, medical law, as well as family law.

Affiliations

Member of the Geneva Bar Association (ODA), she served on the Geneva Bar Association Council from March 2013 to April 2019. She is a member of the Commission for Continuing Legal Education of the ODA since 2005, which she presided between 2009 and 2012, of the Children’s Rights Commission of the ODA from 2014 to 2020, that she was the President between 2014 and 2019 and of the Criminal Law Commission of the ODA since 2019.

She is a also a member of the Swiss Federation of Lawyers (FSA), of the Geneva association for business law and of the Swiss Society of Jurists (Société suisse des juristes).

She sat at the Bar examination commission of the University of Geneva from 2011 to 2015.

Jennifer Brockington-Belli

Born in 1986, Jennifer Brockington-Belli studied law at the Universities of Fribourg (Switzerland) and Assas Paris II. Having qualified in 2012, she became Me Spira’s associate within the Bory & Associés firm, previously known as Ducrest, Nerfin, Berta, Spira & Bory, and, as from October 2018 within Spira + Associées.

On the 1st January 2021, she becomes of counsel.

Affiliations

A member of the Ordre des avocats de Genève (ODA), she is also affiliated to the Swiss Federation of Lawyers (FSA) and to the Union International des Avocats (UIA), within which she is a member of the family law commission and the young lawyers’ subcommission.

Having acquired the title of solicitor through the Qualified Lawyer’s Transfer Scheme, she is also a member of the Law Society of England and Wales.

Xavier Rieder

Born in 1991, Xavier Rieder studied law at the Universities of Geneva, Basel and Exeter. Having qualified in 2017, he became intern within Canonica Valticos de Preux & Associés law firm and obtained his law degree in 2019.  He worked as an associate in a commercial law firm, then as a jurist at the Criminal Court of Geneva, before joining Spira + Associées in March 2021.

On the 1st April 2023, he becomes partner.
